Born in Bayamón, Puerto Rico in 1966, Ángel David Mattos is one of the most outstanding pianists, composers and arrangers of the island. He has performed with major artists in Puerto Rico and internationally.

His collaborations include Paquito De Rivera, Bob Mintzer, Eddie Gómez, Alex Acuña, Dave Valentin, Miguel Zenón, Luis Perico Ortiz & Humberto Ramírez. Ángel David teaches at the Interamericana University of Puerto Rico and at the Music Conservatory where he is the Jazz Piano Profesor. He has four productions, all acclaimed and listed among the top ten of their respective years of publishing. Preludio (1999), Danzzaj (2004), Traditios (2008) & Alabanza (2018).
