Reynaldo's career as a trombonist goes hand in hand with the evolution of salsa. Born in Puerto Rico, Reynaldo moved to New York City in 1971. In that same year he joined the Fannia All-Stars with whom he participated in the film Our Latin Thing.

He has helped bring Salsa to the far reaches of the world such as Russia, Egypt, Singapore, Indonesia, Australia, New Zealand, Hawaii, Taiwan, China, Morocco, and South Africa among many others.
